HOPE

Well it has been several months since I have surfed last. Luckily my last 2 surfs we're "un-forgettable" See below 2 posts down.
I have 2 more surgeries to go and a host of other issues but
I am HOPING I will be able to go out and paddle the 10'3" around in August-September, in the warm glass, the very WARM, SUNNY, windless day, with CLEAR, GLASSY, WARM, LIVING WATER, with DOLPHINS and MY SON, and MY FRIENDS...........
I hope

Saw your comments on safe to sea blog and followed them here. After reading the post below, I am hoping for you too, buddy. Makes my middle-aged rugby knees seem more like a in-grown fingernail by comparison. Rest, heal, then enjoy the summer as you regain yourself. Then, when you're ready, log it somewhere down there in North County and have the best time ever!

Bill, good to see you online. I had minor surgery earlier this month and won't be cleared for sports until next month. It gave me a teeny weeny tiny insight into what you're going through - be strong! I'll take you to post-surf breakfast in August-September.

I think about Bill all time. My Slick thinks about you too, Bill. I'll be retiring that board soon. Well, it won't be complete retirement, but I do have a replacement in the works. It's still an awesome board. And you're still awesome too! Keep us posted on your progress!

Hey Bill,
There's a lot of love floating your way it seems.
Bit coming from over here too. Keep the faith old son ( I can say that 'cos I am too) and you and the lad'll be sliding and gliding in no time.(At last it'll seem by the time it comes)
Take care mate.

good luck to you. did you have a fusion? i'm looking at back surgery myself (see espaldado.blogspot.com). a close friend tore his large intestine, had the colonoscopy, had it repaired, and is now back in the water surfing better than ever. so, there is definitely hope!

Thank you Gaz and all for the nice wishes!
I am trying too...it looks like I will be able to submerse myself in water about 1 week from today,06/16/08, then it will be 8 hours a day of pool therapy for 2 weeks....then I wil attempt a paddle out to just paddle the board in the ocean.

I hope

Sounds like you have been having a rough time. I am looking at possible surgery on my back in a few months, if the shots don't help. May I ask, was your surgeon Dr. Mudium? I don't think I want him if it was.
Take Care
